Book Banning

Book banning has been and is becoming a huge issue nationwide. Book banning is censorship that restricts or removes access to books in schools, libraries, or bookstores. This could be books regarding race, the lgbtq community, violence, sex, language, etc. Critics believe that banning books protects our younger generations from difficult ideas and information. Banning books limits the spread of information, violates freedom of thought and reason, and restricts forming your perspectives mainly pertaining to young readers.
